Uh, oh, STUCK!!

Lucas climbing habit has gotten him in some pretty *tight* spots. Here is the latest...

I am not sure if he will climb in there again. He didn't seem to enjoy it too much and he needed help out. Of course, we made him wait because daddy had to grab the camera first.

Where we sleep when Daddy is away...

Ok ,this has been going on for quite a while now. When Daddy travels mommy shares the bed! Not sure who enjoys the company more - the girls or mommy! Someday Lucas will probably join us (when he will sleep in someplace other than his crib without thinking it is an all night party)

Star Student

A few weeks ago Emily had the honor of being star student in her class. She made a very cute poster that shared things about her. The poster hung on the star student board in the class for the week. This is what the board looked like:

Movie Night

The girls' school had a fun movie night last night sponsored by the PTO. All the kids wore their pj's, brought sleeping bags and pillows and laid on the gym floor while they watched the Santa Claus 3. Pizza and popcorn were served for dinner. Of course it wasn't as quiet as a movie theater and I think there was just as much talking and goofing off as there
was movie watching. It was quite fun much to my surprise. The girls and I had seen the movie before but my friend Lori who hadn't seen it before managed to watch and enjoy the movie!

climber! That's right, Mr. Lucas is climbing now! It didn't take him long to expand his horizons beyond walking. It started with the coffee table a few days ago.

I was talking to Daddy on the phone today when he asked what Lucas was up to. I was cleaning the playroom and he was wandering between the playroom and the girls' rooms (which I had just cleaned and somewhat "Lucas proofed") Then Daddy said can you see him and I said no I can hear him though and I thought he was just playing by Ella's door. Daddy reminded me that he had started climbing a few days ago and told me to check on him "just in case" and at that moment I heard a little crash. I ran into Ella's room. Our little man had pulled the bottom drawer of the dresser out a little way and stepped into it. He then pulled the second drawer out and stepped into that drawer. Ah ha! He could then reach the top of the dresser and he proceeded to pull down and look at all of Ella's little kitty chachkes (carefully but dropping a few in the process - hence the crash) Fortunately, I had bolted all of our tall furniture to the walls so it couldn't fall over. I really wish I had my camera with me when I caught him. Of course, I couldn't leave him there to grab the camera either.

I know this is just the beginning!

Luke is walking!

Luke has been teasing us for about a month now. We keep guessing as to when he will actually walk for real. He has taken several steps in a row up until a few days ago when he actually started to walk across a room. He can even pivot and turn around without falling. Yeah Lukey!

Let's try this!

I have been trying for years now to find a user friendly way to share photos and stories about our life. Maybe this will be it. Work with me as I get used to posting on this site - I am on the computer enough I should be able to update it daily :-)
