Long Overdue Update

THE CAKE!

So much has happened in the past month. Ella celebrated her 6th birthday with a poodle party. It was smaller than we are used to but still fun. She is getting to the age of "drop off" parties. This is a strange concept to us! Since we lived in the same city since both girls were born we were friends with so many families and the families came to the parties. Since we just invited the girls in her class. It felt wierd to not have any parents stay and have to entertain them. My friend Lori, her husband and my friend Debbie stayed but that was it! (Of course Ga and Pop were here too). The cake turned out soooo cute (I made it!) I was so proud of myself! I am sure that I could have paid a lot of money for someone to make one and it wouldn't have turned out any better. Ok I do have a big head about this but I LOVE decorating cakes and it is so exciting when they turn out cuter than I expect! We had lots of activities including Pin the Tail on the Poodle, Hot Doggy Bone, Poodle Pinata, bracelet making, we ate lunch, ate cake, drank milkshakes and opened presents! Here are some pictures:

25,000 Kisses

I have the most wonderful children! They are always doing something that makes my love for them grow more and more. I am particularly speaking of my son right now. Don't get me wrong, my girls are amazing too but my little man is just different! He is still at that age of innocence where everything he does, no matter how bad, is cute. Now I am not sure if that is because he is a boy or just because I haven't had a little one around for a few years.

His latest "cute" is his love. He his such a love bug! He loves to give kisses and hugs. His kisses are the best and his hugs are always accompanied by ahhhh's and a gentle patting on your back. He will also "love" just about anyone! Yesterday at the play place in the mall he went over to a little girl that was younger than him and "loved" her. I am sure this is how we get so many sick germs but it is so cute I can't stop it! I am so excited for the fact that he is such a gentle loving boy instead of a big bully that I am constantly having to reprimand (at least so far). But he is certainly not a sissy by any means- he can hold his own with the best of them-namely his SISTERS!
I got off on a tangent about my sweet little guy, now I need to explain the 25,000 kisses. I was kissing my sweet little son several times in a row yesterday when I started to think about how much I actually kiss the little guy. I am constantly kissing on him, so much so that he is probably like-get off me lady-do you have to kiss me so much? But then I started thinking maybe that is why he is such a love-he has had to have had at least 25,000 kisses in his short little life. So I thought about it some more and I figured that he gets AT LEAST 50 kisses a day which is 1500 kisses a month and having just had his 16 month birthday that puts him at just over 24,000 kisses! Factor in the kisses he gets from his daddy and his girls and he is well over 25,000 kisses! He sure is one loved little guy!
